tree, Steep Rock needs a fresh infusion of
green every year, to grow and thrive!
Although one of the oldest land trusts in Connecticut, the Steep Rock Land Trust receives no public funds. Governed by a volunteer board of trustees, it is entirely dependent on individual contributions and a modest endowment for its operating funds.

To maintain over 30 miles of trails, and fulfill our obligations as stewards of three large reservations and dozens of conservation easements, we rely on member support -- and volunteers! If you would like to contribute and become a member, please send a check, payable to:

If you are interested in volunteering on a one-time or regular basis, we always need help with monitoring easements, trails conditions, bird populations or invasive plants, and with occasional trail maintenance work days. Please call the office at 860-868-9131 or email us.
